Tara Neuffer

Bio: Tara Neuffer is a multimedia artist living in the East Bay since 2019. Before that she lived in Utah, Uruguay and Chicago where she was raised. Besides art making, Tara enjoys spending time in nature, singing in choir, cooking and yoga. She currently works at NIAD Art Center.

Statement: My work in this show explores objects as vessels of emotional attachment and embodiment. I am interested in the human impulse to collect and sort objects, both human-made and nature-made, and how these objects relate to individual mythologies and rituals. Symbols of the natural world in my work accentuate human-made patterns and their boundaries.
