Bio: Film photographer and undergraduate at Stanford from Manaus, Brazilian Amazonia, Samuel aims to capture the rawness of life in the Anthropocene in the places where its wounds are wide open. Beyond film photography, Samuel has interests in language preservation, food systems, and environmental history. His most recent work, PARDES (2026), is centered on cattle carcasses found in BR-319, a mostly unpaved highway in Northern Brazil at the center of environmental controversies for the potential for deforestation it brings to the Amazon region.
