Bio: Coyote Park (b.1999, Rota, Spain) is a Two-Spirit multimedia artist and visual storyteller based in Los Angeles. Park comes from Yurok, Karuk, German, and Korean descent and often works with themes surrounding identity, diaspora, and kinship. Park's photographic work is an exploration of land - body relationships, world building, and indigenous/trans futurisms. Most notably, his photographic exhibitions "My Own Private Rodeo" and "I Love You Like Mirrors Do", are inspired by his homelands and queer intimacy. His work has been exhibited nationwide and internationally alongside artists such as Pixy Liao, Clifford Prince King, and Texas Isaiah. Park has photographed for OUT Magazine, G-Star, Diesel, Paper Magazine, GQ, Calvin Klein, amongst others. They work both remote and on set for commission based projects and editorial assignments. Outside of their commercial work, their deepest love in photography is found in their personal documentary-style work and with public art shows. Park has given lectures at Stanford, CSULB, CSULA, Dartmouth, USC, UH Manoa, Rutgers, SVA, Parsons, CSUN, and UCLA. He holds a BFA in Photography from Parsons, a certification in Queer Curating from NODE Center for Curatorial Studies, and is currently going back to grad school at CalArts for his MFA.
