Description: Ever since I was a child, remembering was always something I fixated on. I’ve been on a mission to document the spaces, communities, and people who have impacted me. Within this series, I’ve zoomed in on how trans-centric spaces created room for me to discover my own desire to transition. This painting, from my “Trans(land)scapes” series depicts two friends in a predominantly trans space having an exchange. Wisdom is exchanged between trans people at different places in their personal transitions. Trans(land)scapes celebrate the spaces that make room for us to see ourselves and transform within them.
