Statement: Female figures and floral motifs are central images in my quilted fabric works that celebrate the traditions of textile, decorative and folk arts and their inextricable association with the maternal, the domestic and the feminine. Through mining personal narrative, including surf culture, motherhood, upstate NY, and folk art, I explore ideas of decoration as subject.
