Bio: Shiva Ahmadi’s work address global issues such as political oppression, violence, immigration, and women's rights, drawing inspiration from current events and personal experiences. Her work, spanning painting, sculpture, and animation, blends formal beauty with an underlying sense of violence. Ahmadi has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally at institutions such as the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art in California, the Asia Society Museum in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada, the Mori Art Museum in Japan, and the Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha, Qatar.
