Description: This piece explores the similarities of the collapsing movements of barns and the human body. It touches on issues of decline, vulnerability, and ageing. It is part of a series which paired different barns, in various collapsing movements, with drawings of figures in precarious poses. The movement of the figure here is suggested by layering colored stains on a wood panel. The line drawing of the barn (the same barn depicted in “Memory Tumble”) unifies the two panels, the structural transparency hinting at its imminent absence.
