Description: "Strawberry Moonflower was initially meant to be a fantasy nocturne, including the both types of moonflower (Datura innoxia and Ipomoea alba), as well as other nighttime plants and creatures, mostly familiar to my neighborhood. I was inspired by Victorian fairy painting, and 1970s & 80s book illustration. Painted Jezebel is also a hand pulled drypoint print that's been hand colored. The image is a combination of devotional imagery and am extended metaphor of sustenance physical or otherwise. Process wise, I'm exploring mirroring and repeating images in my composition. I use multiple drypoint plates during the printmaking process, and particularly enjoy working at a larger scale. "
