Description: This is a rune from a larger piece called "Invocation Through Fabrication", a neon representation of a talisman from The Lesser Key of Solomon, a grimoire. The piece was a physical meditation on the timeless spirituality of craft. Science and art are so separated in Western culture. We are very far removed, from the artifacts of our world. Divorced from how things are made. Aleister Crowley defined magick as, "the science and art of making change in accordance to your will. Craft, then, is magick - an embodied ritual with the power to transmute and transform. Fabrication invokes and leaves behind an essence and the work of the hand not only informs, but enriches the work of the mind.
