Description: Recreating chemical structures that formed millions of years ago around vents in the deep ocean, believed to have produced the first semblance of life on Earth. These proto-cells generate electricity critical to the creation of life - they are grown over the course of two hours, wired like a battery to power an LED on the head of an anglerfish cast in metal. Peering into timescales beyond comprehension, the primordial energy looking back at itself in infinite forms.
