Bio: New York native, Bay Area transplant who is making work as an attempt to recontextualize religious iconography and narrative.
Statement: The work itself does not require a statement. It is a response to a question, or a series of questions, that are felt rather than asked explicitly. The numbers within the work are subtle allusions to significant figures within Catholic/Christian text. In some way the work, which is really the adornment of the act of collection, is partially proposing that collecting/acknowledging is the first step in world building and implies death as separateness from what we exist near and around.
