We keep what we need to show art, run open calls, and send a mailing list you asked for. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not track whether you open our emails. You can ask us to correct or delete anything we hold.
We store your email address, your name if you gave one, and where the signup came from — our own database, not a third-party marketing platform.
You are subscribed straight away and we send you one welcome message. If somebody else put your address in without asking, that message is how you find out, and one click gets you off the list again.
Every mailing carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough; it removes you from that list and leaves any other list alone, with an option to come off everything. If a message bounces or you mark one as spam, we stop mailing you on every list automatically, without anyone having to notice.
Our emails contain no tracking pixel and no rewritten links, so we do not know whether you opened one or what you clicked. Where our sending provider reports that anyway, we discard it.
An account stores your email address and name, and a password we never see in plain text. We ask you to confirm your address so that we are not mailing someone who did not sign up.
You may sign in with Google instead. Google then tells us your name, email address and profile picture, and we use the picture as your artist photo so you do not have to upload one. We receive nothing else, and we do not post anything.
An artist profile is public: your name, photo, biography, statement, website, Instagram handle, and the works you have in shows. That is the point of it — it is how visitors and curators find your work.
Your email address, phone number, postal address and Venmo handle are not public. They are visible only to you, to curators, and to gallery staff, and they are deliberately left out of the machine-readable listings that search engines read.
We ask for a postal address so we can return work and handle sales, and a photo because it is printed in the show catalogue alongside your entry.
Nobody in that list is given your information for their own marketing, and we have no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
Only the ones the site needs to work: one to keep you signed in, and one that protects forms against cross-site abuse. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Artwork and show records are a permanent exhibition history, which is part of what a gallery is for. If you unsubscribe we keep a record that you did, because that is what stops us mailing you again by accident. Anything else, we delete when you ask.
You can edit your own profile at any time. For anything else — a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion — write to info@120710.art and we will sort it out. If you only want the mail to stop, the unsubscribe link in any mailing is faster.
