Description: As our world warms and the waters acidify increased carbonic acid is making the chemical bond used by animals to create shells more difficult. This becomes a feedback loop as the shells in the water help keep the ocean alkaline and so fewer shells mean more acidity, more acidity means fewer shells... I asked the pile (Oracle) for a shell and got more than I bargained for. Tossed away. Here they are housed in refrigeration devices like museums - climate control.
