Description: In the group exhibition Modern Pleasure, artists interpolate the complexity of contemporary digital self-making through tactile works. By engaging with traditional craft mediums including beading, tufting, crochet, and hand building, these artists are able to gesture towards contemporary notions of intimacy, connection, and self- exposure in the internet age. This juxtaposition between the tactile and the virtual provides a nuanced perspective on the sliminess and vulnerability involved in digital self-representation and encourages visitors to consider the multifaceted nature of their own online lives.
