Statement: My practice explores how systems of law, technology, social norms, and institutional authority enter intimate and everyday life. I often place myself within a system’s terms, following its rules long enough for attachments, obligations, and contradictions to emerge. What happens when a formal agreement becomes a personal commitment? What can a system recognize, and what remains outside its terms? Working across sound, image, text, installation, and performance, I give these questions concrete forms and allow their consequences to unfold over time. My work attends to the distance between what governing systems can account for and what a person lives through.
