Bio: Zoe Spikerman is a San Francisco-based artist working across print, paper, and textile crafts. Often using foraged, recycled, and naturally-dyed paper and fiber, she’s especially interested in how the spirit of an artwork is shaped by the life and history of its materiality. Influenced by the ecological ethos of Hawaiʻi, where she was raised among farming communities, her artwork explores our complex relationship to the natural world, examining, with both reverence and disdain, the forces that obscure our interconnection as stewards of the Earth. She earned her BFA in Print Media from the California College of Arts, and currently works as an editorial associate for Art Bae.
