Description: Part of a three painting series, this work began as three separate portraits before being cut apart, rearranged, and hand sewn into a new composition. The process of deconstruction and repair reflects my relationship with trauma, memory, and identity. The visible seams do not erase what has been broken; they become part of the work itself, suggesting that repair is not the restoration of an original self, but the creation of one that carries its history forward. The resulting figure exists between fragmentation and wholeness, embodying the understanding that healing is not an endpoint, but an ongoing process of becoming.
