Description: Rooted in concepts of prudishness and Patriarchal power, this piece explores power both behind the scenes with the male gaze, and blatantly within our systems of Government and corporate power. It is made in the shape of a Victorian brooch with hand painted kiln fired words, gold leaf and antiqued mirror. It humorously addresses the contradiction between how men's and women's bodies are viewed and displayed. It essentially asks what's the big deal, while making it a big deal.
