Description: Inspired by Artemisia Gentileschi’s Susanna and the Elders, I use a similar empathetic lens towards Susanna. I portray Susanna responding with agency, spraying sunscreen in her aggressors’ eyes, rather than as a passive, sensuous object of voyeuristic desire.
