Description: a wearable helmet that records the artist’s voice and plays it back almost immediately, confronting him with his words while he is still speaking. The artist wore the helmet while traveling by scooter through San Francisco and reflecting on the histories of different locations. Within Future Relics, the device is interpreted as an early technology for extracting, repeating, and broadcasting identity until private thought becomes public information.
