Description: "Dog's Head Falls Falls Falls" is a three panel video installation installed vertically (each panel is rotated for portrait framing). The video on the panels is a short loop of a waterfall, filmed in Super 8mm at Dog's Head Falls in Johnson, VT. The loop depicts an endless cascade of water on what appears to be an exaggerated 9 1/2 foot tall filmstrip (see reference images). This piece could be regarded as a meditation on film form and the materiality of celluloid divorced from narrative or performativity, though elaborate screen-saver would be equally appropriate.
