Bio: ( Steen Kjorlie b 1978- Topeka Ks.) is a self taught American artist based in Vallejo Ca.
Statement: I foster a "laugh to keep from crying" sensibility, and this reflects off the sculpture I create. The "joke" is my works primary foundation of development. Color and form follow. From harsh satire to surreal dreamscapes, people in vulnerable states struggling with identity interests me. There is a shred of truth in every joke. Cope however you can.
